Default A formal public apology to Florfinblarp

My wizard had just died. Relaxing at my bind spot, I see an ancient cyclops pop, engaged and killed.

Florfinbarp is given top spot at camp. To my amazement the ancient cyclops spawns a second time on the trot and we exchange on his good fortunes.

Once the mob is at 30% hp I hurry things up by casting a rain and a snare.

I am told by Florfinbarp "don't cast on it", and, with my pride bruised on account of my spurned assistance, I reply with "I snare what I want".

He responds poorly, and denies the obvious reality, "Nah, you don't", which made me laugh because clearly I did. Anyway, I had already a rez window open, so I accepted it to get out the zone and ensure I didn't KS.

He then lets me know he's gone now, thanked me and wished me to take care.

Being me, I joke how I beat him out the zone, linking the ancient ring I had on my corpse, claiming I snared it off the cyclops he was fighting.

He then issued his surprise that I was still talking to him, explained he "was still here" and again bid me farewell.

Anyway, I apologise for the unsolicited snare, and bid you good luck on the second ancient ring you seem to be camping. Hopefully you can corpse a few while it is running hot.

Hey you! Stop by discord and say Hi sometime. Or better yet, long in and come play your bard with us, we've got a group in the high 30's we've been messing around with.
