Really great screenshot for early charming in ek lol. Wait til 18 or so to charm. Level disparity is the biggest factor for charm breaks.

That's a great place to start working on your charming skill set, and you could certainly carry over lessons through vanilla-- kedge has some charmable stufff, bats in sol b, bats in lower guk, gators and gorilla in CT. Strangely there isn't a heck of lot to charm outside of dungeons post 30ish.

The key to charming is to make sure to always have a very clear idea of what you're going to do if a charm break occurs next second.

The key to charming in EK is to cheese with Squire Wimbley haha. Pull singles to him, charm when the mob gets under 20%, then move the pet away and beat it to death with your big stick after snaring. Rinse and repeat from 16-21 or until you get bored!

Gorge hounds are rough due to non-stop pathers and social aggro. The key is to pull your charmed mob all the way to the zone edge and then pull the mob you're going to kill IMO.
I hit these for a bit @ 20-21 when Crag Spiders were too camped and it was challenging without pulling them out of their typical path spots. | ||

Ive leveled a couple druids there, personally I charmed the gorge hounds themselves, beforehand finding myself close by them but out of the way of them pathing so I'd have a safer spot.....facing up the road to high hold, to your left at base of mountain, near another road is a great spot
