My Manastone Adventure By The Numbers

As promised.. and for others looking to parse data or whatnot.. I finally got it all put into a spreadsheet.

Below is start/end time. Note: I was there maybe 1 or 2 spawns prior to keeping track. I think it dawned on me it may be interesting to keep data. I was also in the zone trying to get an invis to get to camp for 2-3 hours which ties into the /played time.

My overall thoughts: Definitely not for those who have yet to pull an allnighter, but then, some have been very lucky. I know soon after I left, 3 dropped practically back to back, and one person received one after only being there an hour! The #1 attribute you will need though is endurance, but this is not an absolute. I found it to be quite a challenge, the experience, if you're inclined is worth more than the pixels... but I really wanted the pixels [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I also have always been the type of person to go for the impossible goal, and the more it seems impossible to everyone else, the more I want it. As soon as I saw I may be able to have a manastone I just knew I was going to go all out. Unfortunately, I did not have the luck of the draw, I had to rely on physical and mental endurance, my in game ascent of everest... no regrets.

Kept track of spawns, times, drops etc.

Note: I started at #10 on the list, but in this time there was not 10 manastones dropping, I mostly moved up due to people falling asleep, missing the click, etc.

congrats, well deserved, i have been trying to tell people these items are for powerful people and powerful people alone, one does not simply list a legacy item and expect to get it. unless you are one of us. and KNOW you are getting it. We need more posts like this, would unclog the lists of people who just show up for 6 hours and think they are going to get a legacy item.

As a super casual type player myself, I have no problem with items like manastone being pretty much unattainable unless you are a hardcore player capable of camping it for 24-50 hours.

The games perfectly playable without that stuff.

It really is. I have not used it much yet. Well, I haven't been playing too much since, work has been pretty busy right now due to the season. But I really do not see it as essential whatsoever. And I do not see not having one would make me less of a cleric, either. It's a fun toy, and with my mindset, it was a challenge I could not pass up.

2.5% - Sounds about right...12 hours per stone, minimum line length = 3-4 people on teal, so expect 48+ hours camping the dumb thing. 10% drop rate is total conjecture on the part of the Devs. No one remembers it dropping this rarely at launch. There was a nerf to the drop rate, which I would expect is near what the current drop rate on green/teal is experiencing. They are going on speculation ie. pulling numbers out of their ass.

have not listed for manastone yet, will soon, still recovering from my 26 hour jboot camp. 18 earings. was a fun time. But i absolutely hating seeing people showing up for 6 6 hours and u cant tell them anything like yo man, this is not for u if u cant stay up and like. i hate to say it but elite tier players are the only people that can camp this stuff. that and meth heads.


also have not screen shared, don't need to, This is everquest, i have lived here for 20 years..... 60 hours is nothing to to me, i have raced to 60 over 2 weeks on coffee. I enjoy this game for a reason, pure playtime and being good at the game shoots u ahead of the bad and makes the game super enjoyable because it puts you so far ahead the only people you are playing with are also other good players, which furthers your progression even more instead of being bogged down in antonican pox trains.
