Default where to solo 20-30 in classic?

I have never played pre-kunark EQ before. I started live in OCT 2000 and P99 in OCT 2018. So my normal druid solo path has been oasis 15-20, LoiO 20-30, FM 30-39 and DL 39-52.

Now I am lvl 21 in Oasis and Orcs are greening out bad. I don't want to fight DW crocs because I need to earn money for lvl 24 spells. I like to solo because Druids don't have an easy time getting picked for groups unless no clerics are around.

I am looking at the 20-25 list on the per level hunting guide on P99 wiki and the only places that pop out at me are South Karana or East Karana. I just want to find a place where I can kill blues without it taking forever to find a mob to fight. I know I can't solo in MM or unrest because those mobs are all spoken for by camps.

Any other places to hunt for a 21 Druid?

I am near 20 atm and been having a blast in South Karana killing elephants and chickens.

I even got earlier a very nice small KFC group pulling the hens towards us and got some nice xp even though I solo most of the time.

The Centaurs do not drop much and they are a bit of a pain compared to other mobs due to archery but the aviaks are actually decent loot and you can even if not evil sell the excess loot at the top.

I tried to see Lake Rathetear and it seems like an even better spot after 20, and I NEVER ever before explored these places, so thats a bonus.

I think the Karanas are the best due to how big they are, you can literally sit in the middle of nowhere afk for hours and not be bothered by anything except the cats.

Some spots are quite good as they have a lot of pathing mobs others not so much but overall SK is actually quite nice and peaceful.

At the times I play there are barely 20-30 peeps in the area sometimes less

I leveled my druid on blue mostly in West and North Karana, but S karana has been an amazing experience for me so far on my necro.

Wolves in East Karana near where the human guards/vendor is... that'll work for a couple of levels (remember you can charm there), spiders in around there - and maybe have a look at seeing what's available around the base of the ramp up towards Highpass.

I grouped in Upper Guk, but solo you can do Gorge Hounds/Crag Spiders in East Karana.

I will check out EK spiders and see what's up there. I will give Aviak tree a look in SK but I know there is only a handful of mobs at the camp so I might not be able to get any mobs if two or more people are already there for those mobs.

Thanks for the input guys.

Try any of the double Aviak spawns in Lake Rath. They are often open since they need splitting(not those by arena, very camped). 6 min respawn and they drop bronze. Bring batwings for lev [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
