What's the deal with Rogues and Exquisite Velium Spear?

I see a lot of Rogues off-handing an Exquisite Velium Spear.

What's the deal? The ratio seems average and they cost 40k.

Is it the low delay? Fashion? What am I missing?

Best ratio weapon you can buy. Not significantly better than an Edge of the Nightwalker but like most things here the best stuff sells for a premium.

What is that? Primal spear look? Yeah pretty ugly.

IMO just get a cheap Seb dirk for offhand. It's .555 and good enough to raid with till you get a neckbeard worthy weapon.

Should I sell for a Sebilite Croaking Dirk or no?

I suppose a better question would be: Should my offhand be a low delay or should I just get something with a decent ratio?

You would lose .004 ratio, but gain at least 10k plat. EoTN is probably one of the most overpriced items in the game.

Clickies, potions, jboots, resist gear, gems for drops, trades skills, and why not explore poison making for the fun of it? Perhaps even make an alt. If that doesn't appeal then ALS is a cool gang to enjoy the classic struggle.

Tbh the shit you can buy is shitty once you get to the point that shitty gear is no longer good enough for use.

The only real point in plat is to bribe other players to do your bidding, eg ports, rezzes, etc, cos these idiots think accruing cash has value.
