Miscellaneous: Griffenne blood drop rate

Wiki & allakhazam mentions Griffenne Blood dropping from Griffenne, griffon, griffawn.

I tried to farm this several times for hours on end, and only griffennes seem to drop it (drop rate is really really low). I also commissioned other players and they never got back to me with a drop from other griffons or griffawns. Only griffennes. This is right now almost impossible to farm this for the qeynos cultural armor. That is a big bottleneck. Can a dev confirm it is actually dropping from griffons and griffawns in North Karana ?
If not would it be possible to modify this ?

Basically griffennes are a rare spawn amongst other griffs, and blood is a rare drop.
It shouldnt be like that.

Can you please submit proof? I'm not saying you're wrong but the wiki isn't proof.
Do some searching on waybackmachine.

edit: I've seen the devs bump up drop rates on items but you have to give them some evidence. Just asking wont cut it.

Project 1999 is not based on balance or "what's right" or "what's logical" or anything like that: Project 1999 is based purely on records of live EQ from 1999-2001.

If you can't find any proof that other griffon variants dropped the blood from back then, it's entirely possible that they didn't, and only started dropping it later on in 2002 (when the devs finally started addressing longstanding tradeskill concerns).

Just a quick check of old Allakhazam comments (the lazy man's Wayback Machine) suggests that's the case, as there aren't any comments from before 2002.

This thread seems to disagree with you, regarding drop rates.
Looked like the rate got much more common later with added zones.

I used to make my plat farming this for one trade skiller who was into the armor market.
better profit then ports since I got exp at the same time, so whenever I ported someone to NK and didn't get any tells for ports for a while I would hunt them.
(pasted some none griffennes drops, I have plenty of drops from griffennes in my logs)

Thanks for taking the time.
Those logs show griffins and there are none in NK. Must have been in EC or WC, and these arent common spawn. You cant reliably farm these. The only zone where you can actually farm blood is NK, but with griffons & griffawns not dropping blood, you just have to wait for a griffenne.. and griffennes are the rarest amongst the 3 species.
Regarding classic drop rate, I think its a rare drop, like most of the brewing tradeskills mats, but without griffons & grifawns, this is just mission impossible.

As for facts... the only thing I was able to find is this (from 2003 in this thread : http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=14891)

I’ve been farming these for long sessions of 3h+ and never got something from other griffs
