camp rules

Can anyone help me clarify the rule of a camp?

I was camping sisters in Lfay, went around the corner to sell to the wood elves. I came back and my camp was still empty and had not respawned. A necro was there and told me it was his camp now because I left and proceeded to KS the sisters from me until I left.

The whole time the north bandit camp was open and I finally got tired of fighting over 4 mobs and just went and camped them.

Was I right in saying it was still my camp? Or was he right in taking it because I went to sell to a vendor a short distance away?

I don't know how to answer you regarding the strictly rules interpretation. I found myself really few times in situation like that. Most of the time ppl i met are really cool and you can easy work out everything talking.
But, since (sh)it happens sometimes .. i would only point out an honest mistake you made. If you are sure repop didn t occur before you come back .. never say "i left to sell\bank\whatever" .. just answer "I ve always been here ... how you didn t see me ?"

Yeah I got the clarification that he was right so I concede to that. Now I know so I'll just have to be more careful in the future.

Regardless of the rules, what he did was kinda stupid, though. Why don't you invis up, wait till he leaves to sell, then re-claim it? You'd be just as much in the right as him..

I'm but a lowly paladin without such skills. Sadly he left like 20 or 30 minutes later and I didn't know it and the camp got taken by someone else.

Live and learn, I guess now I know for future times that if anyone leaves a camp to sell or anything then it's free game. Although honestly I'm not that kind of a person to just take it from them.

Most people like that don't respect their own rules. They'd fight tooth and nail if they "just went to sell" and someone stole it from them, even when the spawns were still down. I just keep track of them for later.

Necros don't get along with Fae Drakes.

You will find plenty of Fae Drakes very, very close to the Nybright Sistas camp.

Ponder what hijinx this can lead to.

Reclaim camp.

Yeah, because training is totally fine by the server rules and isn't cause for getting banned or anything. Great advice.

To the OP, I'm pretty sure technically you did leave the camp open. Any reasonable person would see that the monsters were down and move on to the next camp or give it back to you when they saw you, but this guy was clearly a douchebag. Following the rules to the letter doesn't mean you can't be an asshole.

Well I'm a pally so my soloing days are coming to a close soon and in the future I'll have a group to back me up.
