Miscellaneous: Having issues with the client

I just completed my installation of the EQ Titanium version & then followed the instructions to the letter, now when I launch the game the screen goes black for a second or two and then the game crashes and pops up an error msg.

"eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of some thing your work might be lost."

Any suggestions? Should I just reinstall real quick or is there some thing else you guys can think of?

Make sure your graphics card has its latest drivers, install directx9.0, and if all else fails, reinstall client.

Also check the conf files in the eq folder or open the config tool and, make sure the video mode it is trying to open in is supported by your system, this is often a culprit of eq crashes.

EQEmulator.net forums would probably be a better place to get some assistance? Server Issues probably aren't the best place to get troubleshooting help. Can also try the threads dedicated to setup.
