Hovering over items

So, I always used to hover over items with my cursor, and the names would show. Especially helpful when shopping, crafting, looting, or inspecting people. Then one day I couldn't do it anymore. I hover over items and the name doesn't show. All that works is I put my cursor over the item and hold down right-click. Takes a little longer and I can't inspect players properly. Am I missing something in options?

Restart (not shutdown/boot) your computer. It worked for me, even when shut down didn't. No idea why.
