Default Is there a certain MR threshold where you can start rounding out other resists?

As a monk, what is a good MR number where you can start focusing on other resists such as CR/FR when pulling?

If I can surpass 200 MR, (let's say I could get it up to 220) would it be more worthwhile to sacrifice some MR gear so that I can get FR/CR up to 200+ as well? What's a good FR/CR number to where I can resist a decent amount of Fire/Cold nukes? 200? 225? 240+?

If I can sacrifice some MR gear, I can get 208 MR, 242 FR, and 235 CR. Else I'd be like 225 MR and have CR/FR around the 200-210 number.

There's a link to resist discussion. Obviously resists are situational, but I think MR is the one that you should always have more of. Especially if you're a puller. If you're sitting in the back or meleeing, maybe you should sacrifice some of that MR for some more CR/FR to help with the aoes you may get hit by.

soulfire + reaper = 6 instant click cheals....not to mention wort ports.

It trivializes everything on this server; taking damage is not an issue with these clickies. These work well in raids, groups, and solo and are fairly easy to replace. While the wort pots are expensive, the cheal clicks are not.

Plus, resists are fucked up the ass on this server. I wouldn't sac too much hp for resists. MR is def king in terms of resisting PD stun on both PD and zlandicar, plus various roots/dd's from mobs. Fire is moderately worth it as its probably the second most commonly found dmg spell and raid aoe. Cold is almost worthless besides swapping morid and seahorse cloak in quickly when you see a comet channeled on you. Again, usually you can regen through spells, get healed, click heals, etc. Resists are wack.

on red you might wanna worry about hitting 120+ fr/cr/pr/dr before bothering to go much higher than 180mr.

on blue as a puller, mr until cap.

na but its so easy to hit the 120 thresholds for other resists with pom flowers being so easy to acquire. 180 with a flower is enough to stop most bad magic related things from happening to you unless you're a focus target in group pvp. capping is still super important but with a minor investment in rounding out other resists druids lose the ability to do anything to you & wizards have to start using unresistable nukes which with decent sta and hp puts you outside of being killable 1v1.

na don't focus on em. not saying that. but u want enough pr not to eat rogue snares cure pots aren't enough for indoor zones. its super easy with a flower.
The only two important resists on a pvp server are mr and pr

cap mr for obvious reasons cap pr so you only have to carry a 10 charge cure because you resist 9/10 banes

Cold resist is worthless wizards use lures

Fire resist almost everyone has a set ie frog crown/stone of morid or something else that they throw on when fighting druids but who's really concerned about druids if you dont dispell dots you'll die resists or not

For pulling, MR is king. Dealing with roots and such is pretty big deal. After that, focus on CR for ice comets if you pulling places like seb.

That being said, with 255 MR you'll still get rooted plenty...but it will break a lot sooner.

Pulling places with higher level mobs, like PoGrowth, you'll notice the difference between monks with max MR and monks without pretty easily.

Worth mentioning that the resist coding is different on red and blue... from what I've seen in blue duels.
