Miscellaneous: Barracuda Liver Missing?

Had been following wiki - http://wiki.project1999.com/Captain_...e_Strength_Rum - since I managed to come across the Rhino Meats.

Went out to CS and have been mashing down waves of a coldwater barracuda and I only seem to be able to get the Cold Water Barracuda Meat which per Magelo - http://eq.magelo.com/npc/25423 is the most common item though the wiki states the Livers are pretty common.

My guess here is Magelo is showing EQ live data since there are a number of other items available which I know aren't classic.

Can we confirm these are on loot table as they only come from the one mob? I understand if they are more rare then stated on wiki but don't think you need to kill 100 of the mobs to get even one.

Livers are on the loottable. Just rare.

I completed this quest, so they are dropping. Think I spent a few hours in CS killing them

Well I have spent a good number of hours here on 7/14/16 going after them again - my played log showed I was at 5.5 hours for the session when I finally did manage to get one to drop.

I had my doubts here along the way and had pulled up my log file and used Word to parse it and at the first time it was done, the kill count was at 57 but that included kills from back on 7/11. I continued to kill and then tried to parse the log again and the count didn't go up though I know I had killed a number since the first parse. When I finally had the Liver drop, I parsed the log again but the number of "Slain a coldwater barracuda" messages was only listed at 63.

I'm on the hunt for my 2nd one but this seems a bit out of scope considering the reward for the quest . I guess you really can't believe everything you read (wiki wise) that is.

Nilbog glad to see you provided a bit of info there, just wondering if you could do same for a post I put forth in regards to patch note changes on Shardtooth.
