Default Off the beaten track 45-50 content

Me and some of my friends are looking for some interesting content to play.

The group is a 45 druid, 47 ranger and 49 monk.

Any suggestions on unusual places to play at this level?

Maybe some of the upper levels of Tower of Frozen Shadow? I've never been above the second floor, but I've heard it scales up pretty nicely. Zone seems pretty dead most of the time.

As someone mentioned, kedge would be great for you guys, especially with druid being able to charm animal. Can ranger and druid both animal fear and lull indoors? Talk to Astuce if you see him online, he is in azure guard and wrote a zone guide on kedge.

I wrote the zone guide on hole as well, my favorite zone. You guys can definitely do the entrance mobs there, but you get a lot of solo and duo people there. You can drop to the pit, but I'm just afraid the golems may be a problem for you with a 45 druid healing and 49 monk tank. Maybe gain a few levels first. If ranger has a swarmcaller that would help a lot for slowing mobs, and monk with tash stick to get slows to stick. Druid and rangers have anti-summon nukes too $$. Plus, all mobs run at 20%, so snare rocks.

While not off the beaten path, you would do great in dreadlands. Cockatrice animals aplenty, not sure if brutes/yetis are considered too, and is an outdoor zone.

AFAIK Cockatrices are not susceptible to animal fear.

If i'm wrong, someone please tell me bc that's $$$ if they are.

Thanks for the suggestions! The lads are pretty rusty so we will give The Hole a shot. I remember soloing there with a 51 shaman (LoY era as I had stoicism, the mini torpor)... the big constructs might be just about doable. No swarmy yet.

Hole in that era is different, no constructs here despite what p99 wiki shows (needs updating). Also, you will need to grind faction in the Warrens for an hour or two to get paineel faction to buy a key. Technically wolf form can squeeze through but I find it hard. Besides, having faction there owns, bank and vendors right outside zone, can't be beat.

If you guys would like to farm the named spawns in Trak's teeth this weekend id be down on my lv 49 shaman?

We could key for sebs, get some good loot, and get some exp?

Send tells to Amyas "50 druid" or Amaroki "49 shaman"
It's tempting, but it won't be this weekend as the monk is at Glastonbury at the moment. Planning for the weeks ahead.

If I remember from live you can pass through doors in the brief moment whilst switching forms when an illusion is cast on you... we'll try that method of getting in with group wolf form (and if that doesn't work I'm sure we can squeeze through the gaps).

Just had another suggestion... there is a wasp nest in Burning Woods that I believe were blue to me at 49 (may have been a random green here or there). I'd be surprised if those aren't considered animals. May have to worry about the occassional wandering sarnak or wurm tho.

There is also a giant fort in the area that I haven't visited, but I remember them being higher level than the Dreadlands one, and probably have same loot table.
I think bugs have a different flag to animals, sadly. Only went to burning wood once and it freaked me out. Will try again!

You gotta get a swarmcaller, man. Indispensable.
