Hello, I am returning to P99 after playing phinny for awhile. It just was not the same experience/community that I encountered here. I was on red but due to the low population and pve experience of phinny, im going to make my home here. Was wondering if I could get any insight on rogues current status on the server, and any other tips/tricks for starting on blue. Thanks

There are several posts on the melee section about rogues. Was there something specific you were wondering?

As for tips for starting on blue...make friends, save up for some cheap weapons and then get some banded armor. If you focus on plat as a newbie it's not that hard. Kill skeletons and save their chips and sell their weapons/armor. The bone chips will net you profit to afford your essentials. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Just wondering the need for rogues in later game. Maybe an example of a reasonable weapon I could get my hands on. Any information helps

Rogues are a great end-game dps and CR class.

Main hand, highest damage.
Off-hand, best ratio you can find.

The fact that the former GM for Empire/Holocaust who was IMO almost wholy responsible for killing anything good the server had by intentionally poaching every other guild and allowing their members to behave like 12 year old Aspies says Red sucks is either sarcastic and over my head or probably the most hilarious thing I've ever read on this board.

So for an update. I logged in and got to work and by level 10 random people have given me good enough gear to thrive. Didn't ask a soul people just traded and told me to have fun. Phinny was good, and I still love red but EQ's twitch/glitch pvp is not my cup of tea. Sneakdissa is level 11 so lemme know what's good. Good review for blue so far. Lot less poopsocking fungi's ruining my night.
