![]() The last few days, before the server maintenance even, I noticed levitate was dropping me lower then it used to over lava. I was near the fire giants in solb, in air elemental form over the lava, and was dropping into it after a single 'bounce' or two. Previously, I used to stay above the lava in that spot, never touching it.
I haven't personally tested it in other spots, or with regular water, but a guildie brought it up tonight that he was falling much quicker now. Curious if anyone else has noticed this? | ||

![]() You weren't encumbered were you?

![]() Don't believe so. If I was, it was by maybe 1 weight. Does it do a different calculation then run speed penalty for encumberance? In other words, being encumbered by even 1 would change the behavior of levitate drastically, whereas you have to be over by a few weight before you noticeably slow down when running.

![]() Levitate rate of fall is tied to your client's frame rate. You will, for example, drop a lot faster if you tab out of the game and put the focus on another window, because the game caps the frame rate at 10 frames/second when it is not the focus. Or at least it does for me. I doubt the server has any control over a character's rate of fall what so ever.
