I'm hoping this thread can be a place that recipients of items from Sunday's event can post their gratitude to those who made it possible.

Thank you for the chance to accumulate more elite Lustrous Russet pieces. I've always had a hard-on for LR ever since I went melee on my shaman. I wish I could have gotten the vambraces and gloves but I can't really bitch since I acquired the helm, a bracer, and the greaves in addition to the boots I already had! Also the Sewn Hide Shawl that I grabbed is really sweet! I am so thankful for the fun event and the chance to easily accumulate some more god items! You guys rock. =)

If they gave out 10 times as much as was intended, and it won't happen again, great! If they gave out only slightly more than was intended, it would still be too much. Tons of free high end stuff hurt the "integrity" of the game - that is what most people don't understand. Finding upgrades to your equipment IS part of the fun. Item inflation is really dangerous, just like money - or plat - inflation. Verant was very well aware of that in 1999 / 2000.
