Default Dem ports dem ports dem... velious ports...

So will the vendors just appear with them? Should I camp my druid next to one? Or will the GMS create a fun filled boat adventure and only give the velious merchants the spells? I'm so excited over this. ..

How did it work in kunark?

Anyway I'm going to park my druid in oasis so I hedge both my bets

Yeah don't druids have to get their ports from Wakening Land? I don't play a druid, just trying to remember what people said from beta.

Yeah, I got all my druid ports in Wakening Lands. You also need to get teeth for the GD, WL, and CS ports (Iceclad doesn't require a tooth). They're groundspawns in the rings.

The GD and WL teeth were easy. The CS tooth took more work. The questgiver for the CS key in Skyshrine has a mob in the room with him (and in the previous room) that are aggressive. The Kael step also has a mob in the same room as him that's aggressive. But once you have the key, getting the CS tooth is just another groundspawn to pick up.

The problem is no one is buying the ports other than Iceclad so far, because so many people haven't gotten their teeth. In a few days I imagine more people will want ports.

WOW! I did not know this.

Thank you!

So the CS tooth allows, GD, WL and WW? Just to be clear.

Yes, but not Western Wastes. Still need to run through Siren's for that.

No tooth for Iceclad.

GD tooth will get you to GD only.

WL tooth will get you to GD and WL.

CS tooth will get you to CS, WL, and GD.

On blue, definitely take the raft and the boat. On Red, there's PvP galore on those boats. And since you can't cast on the boats, trying to make it across on a casting class can be difficult. I imagine that it will get easier in the future when there aren't 20+ players on each voyage, but the death spam in Iceclad has been plentiful.

I had to bail from the boat and gate my first attempt. I also added two more people to my do-not-port list.

The raft and the boat aren't synced for a smooth transfer either. Put a bunch of people used to killing each other on a tiny island with no mobs on it, and tell them to wait 10+ minutes for the next icebreaker to dock. And that's why people are buying ports to iceclad. That spell paid for itself within 5 minutes of getting it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
