Default Wizard Soloing, lvl<29

So first time wizard, I am 8 now and my melee is not what it used to be. From what i gather from guides this is my rotation till 29.

1.Highest Nuke
2.Root
3.Run away a good distance
4.Highest Nuke till breaks.
5.Repeat 2 - 4 until. dead.

There isn't a special thing I should do or another technique that i am missing out on right, because when there arn't any groups around this is rough because I cant take camps, I have to find solo mobs.

Does this get better or it stays the same till 29 ?

Honestly, wizard solo is terrible until 29, and even then, quadding is not the fastest way to experience. It does have its perks though, being able to do things in between kills.

Maybe try and group until 29, it will be much easier than blowing most of your mana trying to kill one mob at a time.

I have been trying to come up with a group lvling template.

8-12ish i will stay in Ec and do orc camps

them move to oasis or see if any unrest groups are out.

I was thinking of getting my 16 spells and trying to move to Kurns tower, because i hear the exp is crazy good. But i would have to get a port and make sure i got everything i need till 20 there.

From 20 on i will worry about later.

Personally, I would rotate just a little melee in there to keep your defense up to cap and maybe cause a little damage. As long as you space it out, it doesn't need to affect your downtime at all.

I would use SoW potions (or you can hang around EC and ask for SoW) and quad at level 8-29. You have enough time to cast your level 8 Column AE to quad if you have a SoW to put distance between you and the mobs.

Daldaen nailed it. I turned in CB belts to get level 8, then I quadded til Chardok AOE became viable. Some great low level quads are bandits in WK and willowisps in NK. Both drop items you can turn in for great cash for the level and bonus exp, and there isn't usually much competition for spawns.

Good luck OP! Wizards, while one-dimensional and underpowered in a lot of situations, are definitely my favorite class.

Exactly. I did only a few quads waiting for groups in Oasis. Gathered up 4 blue con orcs or dervs and killed them along the shoreline. Even had some spectators watch as all 4 died at the same time. Got an applause. Also, I really really want my Staff of temperate flux! Can't live without my favorite clicky.

Where to go at 19? Gorge hounds in EK or Borer Beetles in NK perhaps? Unrest grouping is far an in between that Oasis seemed better still...sucks being a blue bar with one dimension sometimes. Only thing I don't like about quadding is having to gate to refresh SoW. It could mean life and death if it ever fades during a quad. I just started in April and have just enough Plat to buy my upcoming level 24 spells. Killing bears for HQ pelts hasn't been the best RNG for me.
