Qeynos Gnoll Fangs XP Lowered?

Searching through all the posts about the gnoll fang quest (and 300 gnoll fang guide) in Qeynos, I wasn't able to find info supporting my situation. Seems to me like the xp was nerfed (made normal really) at some point. At level 12 and one yellow, I turned in 280 fangs and it only took me to level 16.5. I recorded my turn ins for the levels which I completely used fangs for xp:

Level 13.0 to 14.0 -> 58 fangs (almost 3 stacks)
Level 14.0 to 15.0 -> about 66 fangs (lost track on this one)
Level 15.0 to 16.0 -> 78 fangs (almost 4 stacks)
That is about 200 fangs for 3 levels

This was done using an Ogre Shaman (15% xp penalty) on April 2, 2015.

Yes, gnoll fangs were "nerfed" (which, as you noted, was really just a fix to make them give the proper amount) close to a year go:

i just turned in a gnoll fang for the first time since the nerf. holy cow it got reallllllly nerfed.

And I still believe it's giving higher experience than classic. Imagine how broke it was before the nerf

imo should go back and retroactively ban people who were exploiting this bug for their personal gain

nah ... that's a waste of everyone's time, especially as everyone had the same playing field.

i remember it giving better EXP than this in classic. at level 3 it wasn't even worth it to run to South Qeynos to turn in fangs. that's just absurd.

Are you serious? I think i turned in ~50 fangs at level 8 and went up 3 or 4 levels, that is absurd experience for what the process is to acquire them. You are already gaining nice experience killing the gnolls with that ZEM, the fangs are just the icing on the cake.

i turned it in on red. maybe red got borked somehow? idk.

Is there any way to update the 300 gnoll fang guide to reflect its outdated status?
