Default Leaderboards, Autism, and You

New to red and p99. Loving the leaderboards. Great info for analytics and it's been fun to look up who I've killed (and been killed by). Big ups to the people at p99 for that one.

Inevitably, an emulated server of a 15yo MMO will be a storehouse for autists. Regrettably, leaderboards have shaped autist behavior on our server. Highly interesting from a medical standpoint, as autism remains one of humanity's lesser understood mental conditions.

As we know, autists will stop at no length when motivated by HUGE NUMBAS. In this case, KDR. The best way to get the best KDR is by staying low level with end game gear, and sweeping lowbie areas over and over.

Autists who find themselves on the far end of the spectrum have been logging on with low lvl twinks to grief CB/Unrest/Dragnors for months. All weekend, low level areas were sweeping these areas looking for rags to PK. Some are fairly high up on the leaderboards.

Before you say I'm just bitching, I'm OK with them doing it. It's PvP server. Just a fascinating glimpse in to the oft-misunderstood mind of the autist.

^ Lot of mad here. At least he did a halfway decent job of trying to conceal it.

You're on fire, kid. So you got a low level PK or not? I may be seeing you soon

Leaderboard has only one use for me, to remember the folks I would like to kill one day. Out of the twelve deaths I have there are three I hope to find someday. I'm too lazy to write down names and don't get upset enough to memorize them. Except I won't forget Dial, he didn't upset me with OOR assistance. It's just his name is like the bars of soap my grandma used to buy.
