Default Logging In - Do I have to start over?

Hi, there -

I took a little hiatus from the game after moving from NY to DC. I tried a few times to log in within the last few months, and it was never able to find the server (the loader would constantly have an error connecting, so I never got past the startup client). I put it out of sight out of mind since my Razer gaming mouse also went out of commission, but well....now I want to get back in!

I'm wondering if the safest bet would be to uninstall everything in my EQ Lite Folder, and start again with a full installation?

Thank you!

I would go through the startup intructions again, you are never supposed to launch through the patcher or anything other than the shortcut placed inside the directory called Launch Titanium.bat

Also Eq lite isnt the right installation for this, you need the eq titanium installation and you drop the p99 changes into the directory. Follow the startup guide on the main site and it should guide you should it rather well.

with that being said its a great time to start playing, the population is very high right now

Download Everquest Titanium
Download p99 files and drop into Titanium folder.
Then you can just modify the everquest.exe file to startup without having to download EMU launcher Bs.

If you need any help let me know.

The old EQEmuLauncher is no longer supported, if that's what you're trying to use.

Best bet is to create a shortcut for the eqgame.exe file (NOT the everquest.exe file). Open the file's Properties and add "patchme" to the Target field (make sure there's a space before "patchme").

Per the comment above, eqlite should still work... It is simply the Titanium client that's had tons of non-needed files deleted.

as for launching, the p99 patch zip also places a .bat file in your EQ directory so all you need to do is simply use that .bat file

Launch Titanium.bat

Yes, I was using the EQEMULauncher, so that was probably the problem. To be safe, I uninstalled the entire program from my computer. But, in trying to find a new one in the bay of pirates, I seem to have found a bunch of malware instead. I just finished a system restore, and I'm clean now...but I'd greatly appreciate if anyone could nudge me in the right direction as to where to find another installer.

I keep mine on a flash-drive. Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction though; it's been four years since I used another way.

I know, that's what I'm most upset about. I had it on a flash drive that has since been "corrupted" (I used to plug and play this thing everywhere...probably should have had separate ones for gaming/docs/photos, etc).

Got a friend who lives about an hour away who plays p99 regularly, so I might just have to go that route. Ugh. Should have saved those CDs, right?

If any has any other suggestions, please email me (it's the same as my user name at yahoo).

I guess I am one of the two or three that have bought it, paid $85 for it, but I buy very few games and plan on being here so the cost was not that big of a deal.
