No release date. But the server is already made. They just need to put out a poll to see what their customers want and then decide what kind of server they actually want to run.

It's all about money, so I'd assume it will be PvE just like the last TLP server. There is no market for a PvP server at all.

With that being said, I had infinitely more fun on Fippy than I had on any other server. Probably because I never really took any pride in anything I did on either of the P99 servers. Getting gear didn't mean anything. I didn't meet very many respectable people. Everything was pure drama or stale. But more than anything else, P99 is just too easy. Spend some time farming plat and you can literally have anything you want on P99. Including a real life job if you are smart. Doesn't work that way on TLP servers. Mainly because buying high end items is a waste of your time as they will be obsolete in a month or less. Which means everyone has plat. Which means items are ridiculously expensive. Which means farming seafuries to buy anything of value isn't a real option.

To claim my position as one of the Elite on Fippy, I had to solo box farm Veeshan's Peak throughout the entire expo. It got to the point where I was paying people to let me use their accounts when we weren't raiding. That is a massive step in skill and fun compared to solo farming seafuries in OOT. There was really only one person who out-played me and they skipped the Classic and Kunark raid scene to do it. He boxed Plane of Fear/Hate for gems all day and joined our guild in Velious.

You should definitely play Chipp. I have 14 accounts ready to go and a few friends who have even more.

EQ pvp is great and all, but if you don't enjoy griefing it's very limited.
