Default Best shields?

What are the staple shields used by wars in the game? I'm a big fan of bulky shields and would like to know :P

If you're a warrior and using a shield after level 13, you're quite frankly doing it wrong.

Before then? A Cracked Darkwood Shield is a nice cheap option until you can dual wield.

Sarnak Battle Shield really is tough to beat. It has great hp stats, solid AC, great resists.

Bladestopper is max Hp but is mainly used for its Clicky.
Shield of Rainbow Hues is really only useful for a pulling monk or maybe ranger. Beyond that I can't say it has many uses for a typical tank IMO. Better off with an SBS having 10 less in the main 3 Wizardy resists and that additional 75-100 HP.

Don't use a shield. Use a 2her if soloing or tanking until you get 2 weapons with aggro procs (Ykesha weapons, stun hammer, trollic skean, etc).
