Spell research practice

Just curious, how high can you take your research skill with the practice research? Ive never used the practice research stuff. So i don't want to drop time and effort(or money) into it until i know it'll pay off. Also how can i tell how high i can take my skill for my lvl? Im 16 atm.

Max skill for research is (level - 15) × 5. As for the Concordance of Research practice runes, there are certain "level" runes you can make to increase your skill. I've never done it, it's a waste of time. Much easier to just dump your skill points into it at your class trainer.
