Character select Error!! Please read and or help me

Ok I had a fresh install with my TiT Disks. Followed the notes regarding the Host file redirecting to P99... Changed the eqgame.exe file to include Patchme. I get to server select select Kunark all seems fine. Get to character select, creation there's a buncha info regarding outdated spell files so went back realized oh i missed something. So d/l the spell files and dropped them into the Eq folder. Tried again still getting spell outdated msg on the character select screen. If you're patched correctly and still getting the outdated spell files error, then it's probably a connectivity issue. Your connection to the server is timing out between the server select and character select.

Happens to me all of the time (no exaggeration--10 times today). Just keep trying.
