Default Trade etiquette: RESPOND if you're not interested.

It is horrible etiquette to get an offer for something you're selling or a price for something you're looking for and then not respond to it. Even if you're not interested, you should always respond with a noty or something so the other person isn't sitting there waiting for an answer that will never come. That's considered extremely rude.

Prefer the lack of answer over the "LOL NO WAY BRO" responses.

It's called negotiating. You say 1k, they say 500, you both settle on 750p. If you don't like lowballing or haggling then DON'T TRADE. People are ALWAYS going to want a better deal.

People who don't haggle in real life, are often getting screwed or missing out on the deal they could have. People who haggle make more in their prospective fields and buy cars and other shit for less.

If you don't want to haggle, sell your 1k item for 600pp. Hell! Even then you'll get crazy offers but I feel a degree of public charity when I sell a crystaline shortsword for 80pp and 16 stacks of spiderling/spider silk.

This is my point, though. I reduce my price initially to avoid having to haggle because it's a waste of time. I'll sell a pair of eboots for 4500 instead of the average 5k- not a set price, but a usual one, one that is often met and clearly quite possible to get your item sold at. But then I"ll get these fucking ingrates trying to bring me down to 4k, 3.5k, and I'm like look, shitheel, I did your negotiating for you precisely so I won't have to deal with this. I am lowballing myself to make this go faster, please stop trying to lowball me more.

Some people don't know that you're already selling the price at a lower rate. And even still, trying to negotiate for a lower price even when the item is being sold cheaper than usual is NORMAL. People want to save money, they want better deals. Do you think most people go to the grocery store and buy all their shit wholesale? NO. They want for things to go on sale so they can get what they need and save money doing it.

How fucking thick can you be?

you are the thick one, smalls. you just put your foot in your mouth and didn't even realize it.

first, if someone doesn't know the value of something they shouldn't be offering money for it.

second, wholesale means something different than how you are using it.

third, Keke already has it on sale (ie below market value). you are suggesting we take an item that's already on sale and offer to pay even less for it because we want a deal.

last, of course people want to buy things at below market value, that's why sales exist.

I think an answer is polite - if someone were going to ask me to do something like summon their corpse, is it better for me to just ignore their /send entirely if I'm already busy?
