New player coming over from red - or am I?

Hi guys,

Gah title should say "to Red"!

I've played off-and-on on blue since 2010.

I'd like to roll a character on red but am concerned about the comments that I read about the server going away?

I don't want to invest time in something and then have it disappear.

Can anyone give me more information on the longevity of the red server with factual basis?

Are we? No. We have players asking if the box is going to be shut down because you guys keep saying we're going to turn it off.
