How to find out who has existing char name?

Hey guys,

I wanted to create a character with a name I used on an old server (pretty unique name) and someone already has - I'm guessing a friend of mine that played on the emulator or p1999 at one point but probably doesn't anymore. Is there any way to find out?

Add them to your friends list and hope they turn up online is probably the best advice. I know GMs can look up when that character account got logged in last, but I don't know if they'll have time to do it these days (if they do it for 1 person, chances are another 50 will ask etc).

Chances are it's the name of a dormant player. Good luck finding them. Probably better off picking a variation of that name and leveling up.
