Default Plane of Mischief

Anyone else excited we may see it again someday with P99? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] It is a ways away, but that zone is one of the most special to me... I more or less left my raiding guild to bind there and would log on and play there for a couple months.

I LOVED PoM. Was my home for a long time, unfortunately I think it'll be kinda sucky on P99 now that everyone knows the deal. Most people seemed to be clueless about it on Live until it ended up in GD.

that goes for everything we play though. almost all the player base here knows the secrets of most of the game...or at least, is highly familiar with them.

PoM is very restrictive.

The only entrance is in the north wing of ToV. This, alone, makes accessing the zone very very difficult.

If you die in the zone without being bound there your CR may be the most difficult one you have ever had. If you do bind there getting out of the zone safely is not the easiest thing in the world either.

The result: few ppl CAN go. fewer ppl will WANT to go. The zone will almost always be near empty, and restricted to those who truly love the zone.

yep, those are the two key items to make the trip.

it isn't easy to get to the zone in with a shiny brass idol. and, if you have the guts to try, a failure means your corpse is stuck somewhere en route in ntov.

on my wizard i would sneak in and bind during a ntov raid....on my bard, later in luclin, i would make the run.

i recall needing the duration (6 min?) bard speed, brass idol, and bard DA to make it all the way....but i certainly don't claim to be the best at making the run. i also recall getting all the way to the doll house once, and not being able to click it because of all the mobs covering it up that i was training.
horrible CR...

again, risk v. reward...many players are just put off by this type of risk, especially since getting to the zone is only the beginning. once i got in on my bard it meant pretty much staying there for at least a few rl days at a time worth of playing before leaving the zone.

i don't doubt lots will go...but it certainly isn't going to be super packed. i'd say busy would mean 10 ppl in the zone at peak play times, if that.

My friend and I did Bristlebane on PEQ. I'm pretty sure 1.0 didn't drop all those badass weapons lol. It was a pretty fun event tho! We we only ornate/tov gear'd but we took him on with our 30man bot team (between the 2 of us). Maybe the rest is 1.0, but BB for sure is upgraded.
