![]() The GM/Dev decision is what it is, and our dissent was expected. Continuing to complain about it is not going to change anything on that end, we simply have to deal with the lowered (but still increased) xp and wait to find out what else they have in store for us. Sirken isn't one to lie or lead us on, and after all he's done for the "box" don't we owe him the benefit of doubt?
Here's some constructive criticism: please stop hurting the population with loud and somewhat obnoxious posts about how the server is doomed now. We're all guilty of this from time to time, but if we made efforts to catch ourselves as we're doing it and stop then we'd all be better off for it. The best way to respond to the changes is to accept it without whining and get on with our gaming. If for some reason we feel entitled to VZTZ-speed xp and are unable to enjoy the game without having levels handed to us, then we should gracefully take our leave without making a petty fuss. Anyone of sober mind can plainly see that the players making a big stink over this change are further discouraging new people from coming here and trying the game out with us. It's of course fine if you disagree with the decision that was made, but how many "I'm leaving!" or "23 of my friends just quit the server because it's too hard now" posts do we really need? Many of the people making these ridiculous and damaging posts are at the same time accusing the GMs/devs of not caring, and wanting to destroy the server. There are worse things to be than a hypocrite, but that doesn't make it cool. Let's all just calm down, think carefully about what our actions before we make them, and then get back to playing this game we love. Please.

Its pretty brutal dude, especially when theres only 70 people online and the majority of those 70 people are level 50+, and the ones who arent 50+ are mostly solo classes, maybe 1 cleric or enchanter here or there. Grouping still isnt really an option for the 1-40 ish crowd unless youre in a guild like Red Dawn who try to help out / group members up. Though even then, when you finally do get a group, maybe... its 3x slower then it used to be =/. Honestly Id be fine with a small XP bonus from 50-60, assuming there was still a fat xp bonus from 1-50. At least if you can get to 50 in reasonable amount of time then you can still be useful to your guild / friends etc. You can still go on raids at 50, you are still in a pretty decent +/- PvP range, most classes have the majority of their main spells / abilities aside from a couple upgrades etc. I can understand slow progression from 50-60, but I cant understand slow progression from 1-50, given the current population and class balance of the server. There just isnt enough "group" classes out there, because there isnt enough people playing them, because most people play solo classes because thats the only way they can be sure that when they get on, they can start leveling and not have to sit in OOC looking for a group, that most likely doesnt exist until you get to 40+. I feel like all this patch really did was hurt the new players who were coming to the server, and discouraged the the higher level players from making alts to help level with the new players, especially when there is no group bonus added with this xp nerf. It unmotivated a lot of those new people who were playing those solo classes, because now they dont have much to look forward to. They now know that they are leveling much much slower then they were last week, having to invest 3x as much time solo leveling, which was already boring enough with the exp bonus but had to do it because not enough players online to form full groups together in all diff level brackets. My suggestion would be add a FAT group bonus per group member added to the party to give a big incentive to making group classes, something like 50-100% bonus per group member. I think that would encourage some of those people who are forced into playing solo classes in order to level, to reroll some of the group classes they would probably rather play. It would also motivated level 60s to roll some alts up and make full leveling partys with there newly joined guild mates, giving them groups as well. The solo class players are still able to solo level whenever they please and have the advantage of logging in and being able to level right away, even if it is a little slower then grouping would be, but that imo is the give and take of solo vs group. I dunno Ive only been on red for 2-3 weeks now so I am sure my opinion doesnt matter very much but just my 2 cents. | |||

Why does everyone seem to feel entitled to a level 60? It's supposed to be an accomplishment of time commitment, and it's supposed to happen gradually over time.
