Default Black sky, maroon sun

In most zones, with the exception of continually green skies found in Misty, Feerrott, etc., the skies are completely black, with the "sun" displayed as a maroon disc. This is on all my characters in Kunark and Antonica zones. Is this the intended sky and sun rendering, where the difference between day and night is the presence of the maroon sun, or are my files corrupted? This all occurred after the last patch.

If there is a way to correct this, if it is a fault, please include an explanation or link to a fix.

if it was working before the last patch im not sure.

I'm pretty sure in your options tab there is a sky menu that allows you to turn on/off/how high the level of detail the sky should be...maybe thats water

This would be my first move:

I'm sure you have a backup directory. If so:

Replace your resources/sky folder with a fresh one from your backup installation.

This fixed it for me, seems my new resource folder was missing the Sky / Percipitation / Waterswap folders.
