Unable to enter the game from char select

I recently updated my graphics drivers on my pc and now find that I cannot log in past char select. The game sits for a while the boots me back to log in. Any idea why the new drivers would do this, and if there is a fix?

im getting this same issue, and i did not update any drivers.

Looks like im in now,.. maybe it was the sever at its limit? Still not fun to experience.

Rogean has stated before that we have never come close to pushing the server to it's limits. 1000-1100 folks on isn't going to do it. Sucks that you had to go through that though.

After reading someone else did the same, I repatched using the V31 files and was able to get in with no issue after having the same problem.

I eventually won over my computery rival by totally reinstalling EQ. very annoying since i dont have an ssd, but a victory is a victory.

I've no idea what's causing it.

Last night I tried make a level 1 dark elf and couldn't even get into Neriak Commons. Same dark elf was fine earlier, and now won't log in again (just the black "YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED!" screen).

Logged into EC earlier, can't get back in now... something is up, it's not character specific, but I can log into the red server just fine [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

EDIT: Turned off my anti-virus (AVG) and got in on my rogue in KC first time. Will see if there's a link.

At the moment, two server restarts in a row. 10-minute warning the first time, 1-minute warning the second time. I never bard speeded so fast outta Blackburrow...
