Default How is the simulated patch respawn supposed to work?

I've heard that the respawn timers are not reset with one of these simulated patches, but rather they get delayed - presumably by however long the mob remains alive (suspended).

I was also under the impression that the repops would only include the raid mobs that are covered in the raid policy, but that does not appear to be true.

I was at frog king in LGuk when the repop happened, and the PH for the freshly killed king appeared within a couple minutes. No raid mobs in this zone... I was planning on being in Tranix's throne room for his next respawn, but it seems to have been reset. e.g. won't spawn again til 8 hours after the Nagafen crew came through.

I'm guessing perhaps it's a server wide respawn, with possibly some way to preserve the running timers on the raid mobs? Everything else just gets a new timer...

Any other observations? Working as intended?

Rogean: Simulated Patch Day Respawns will now respawn all non-raid mobs approximately 2 minutes after broadcast.
Thats what it says in the patch notes.

Patch notes state that all non-raid mobs will repop 2minutes after the earthquake/repop announcement.

Does the server have to come down for this?

It didn't tonight (just the earthquake)... so I'm guessing as a rule it doesn't [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Ambrotos/Rogean: Will see we randomisation of the times that these simulated patch day respawns occur? (So they don't always favour the peak play times of certain continents for example).

Thus far the last two full server respawns have occurred within 45 minutes of eachother:

approx 8:17 AM (GMT+10) - 15 Jan 2014
approx 7:33 AM (GMT+10) - 20 Jan 2014

It'd be nice to see some simulated respawns happen in times that are favourable to euro/asia/australia... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

bump.

Another full repop at roughly the same time of day - 9:25 AM (GMT+10) 17 Feb 2014

Any chance of this being randomised somewhat so as not to always favour the USA playerbase?

Thanks!

Does a simulated repop affect the respawn timers of mobs like Verina tomb? What about dartain the lost, drusella sathir, etc?
