Trickle down greed economics

Seems like on this server for so long a few people had a strangle hold on the top items in the game (epic pieces, etc.) They could sell these items for however much they wanted (800k?!)
Now the level 60s not in this group want these items so they have to find ways to farm pp. They rape the next tier down for epic MQs, powerlevel services, fungis, etc to earn pp to buy those epic pieces from group A.
The next tier down (all the 50-55ish people) want to buy all these overpriced items, epics, fungis, etc etc. So they run around looting every possible MQ item regardless if someone actually doing the quest needs that item (i.e. pawbuster pipe in kc)
Then people scream and yell on here that some druid rolled for my MQ item and I didn't get it etc. etc. Basically blaming tier 3..when it really all funnels up to the top.

Maybe with the stranglehold on the top finally loosened the greed will reduce over time? (Probably not but I can dream)

Some epic pieces might MQ for 500k+, but that's because people would rather pay 500kpp than go through the effort of acquiring that item in a different way... not because an entire guild of people tracking+raiding for weeks just to see a given epic piece drop once are "greedy" by not giving away that item.

If someone refuses to let a monk who needs a KC pipe loot it in a group, blame that fucking person, not the entire server.

Not saying that epic MQ item should be free.. Just when you're the only seller its easy to charge whatever you want. So maybe that 100k item is being sold for 200k or that 500k item is being sold for 800k, etc. Now the little guy sees people selling epic MQs, and tries to find his market for pp. I wouldn't loot that pipe in that instance, but I'm also not trying to buy those outrageous high end items.

Still nothing more annoying in my experience than turning up to each rogue epic part and seeing rogues already holding an epic sat there waiting for a mob to spawn etc. I refuse to pay out for an epic, people got it all wrong on this server.

This drove me crazy when I was doing my rogue epic, too. Also consider that some of those rogues may be doing the mask quest, though.
