Default Velious class

Enchanter, wizard, magician?

Are enchanters broken come velious' MR?
Are wizards worthwhile farmers at all?
Are magicians useful beyond CoTH and mod rods(which I believe are broken?)

All three classes are good, are they as elite as a fully decked out melee? Dunno melees and hybrids are king in velious. I don't think mage/wiz/ench are EVER broken... except maybe way into the future like TSS, or House of Thule where they still work but arent as cool as necro/sk

I'de say ench probably the most powerful overall still. Mage probably next. Wiz still king of pvp and burst dps out of those 3.

I hear stories people gonna be charming giants in Kael for mad enchanter dps on raids too if thats your thing.

Wizards are awesome for raiding in Velious, and so are mages.

Wizards get specific unresistable nukes for giants/dragons.

Mages CoTH/Mod rods will be invaluable for velious raiding.

Never played an enchanter on live so couldn't comment on them.

Monk and a Shaman are over the top in Velious. Harder for Enchanters because mobs hit harder, so you die even more often, there are more resists, more mobs that can't be mezzed, and more that summon. But still a solid class.

Warriors gets lots of new better gear. And some damn nice weapons. Paladin's get to be pretty good pullers. SK's off tank pretty well in Velious. Rangers get fear animal which helps them a lot. Druids get a better heal woopee. Necro, Mage ugghh. Nothing much I remember about them being OT. I know I am missing a lot. Been a long time. [You must be logged in to view images. From memory rogue dps was excellent, surprised they didn't get a mention here.

Rogues took their spot as top DPS (assuming they had the back of the mob) in the game and remained there since, but that had more to do with itemization than anything, as I recall. Wizards got a boost, also. Necros continued on an upward trajectory as being the top soloers that continued for many expansions beyond, but they shared it with the Shaman during velious. Hybrids, particularly rangers, got boosts as well as having the exp penalty removed.

It may have been early Luclin, but I'm thinking it was at some point during Velious monks got their mitigation tuned down along with their DPS to maintain balance with the roles of the 3 pure melee classes.

Kinda drunk, but Velious is much less dungeon oriented than kunark which eliminates the advantage enchanters have over shamans now within packed dungeons of casters. Enchanters are still very good in Velious, but they are much more 'skill' or 'knowledge' (I hate saying this) dependent than shaman. Velious is an expansion with many different factions. I'll let that statement sink into on people for considering how strong charm and memblur can potentially be with different factions. (Hint: You can solo almost anything if you know how to abuse the above - the problem being if you can find the mob up).

Shaman are better at farming AiW4 from a safety perspective which is one of my predicted the cash cows in Velious. The other cash cow is farming EToV since Raiders generally want that over their N/W ToV trash drops. EToV farming doesnt want/require an enc from a minimalist standpoint, but pets are possible if you clicky for dispell aoes.

Enchanters excel at SG farming and Kael farming which will really depend on the price of Thurg BPs and wavecrashers/seahorse belts.

In all honesty, it will be that the very, very knowledgeable enchanters that are king with every shaman and their brother close behind.

Hypothetically, monks/SKs with puppet strings are top solo dogs for Velious, but I don't think there are any monks over here knowledgeable enough to make that so (judging by Kunark).
