The government is like a condom in that it allows for inflation, halts production, destroys subsequent generations, protects a bunch of pricks, and provides its constituents with a sense of security while they are actually being screwed.

I wonder why none of you have commented on the spying revelations.

It seems America has decided that because a former President ignored intelligence that Terrorist were going to attack us using planes, we must throw out the bill of rights and spy on everyone, spend trillions of dollars as our country becomes less competitive every passing day due to the failure to invest in our citizens. Not only that, we supposedly send our sons and daughters to go die "For our freedom" then turn around and shrug it off when the government arms the police like an invading force and spies on us like something out of 1984. All this and what has it gotten us? It stopped 1 possible (small) terror attack. We have had 23 incidents since 9/11. Do none of you think it is all just used as a justification to kill this country? The continuing evolution to a completely fascist nation? Are you too scared to say?

ppl wanted blood so the afghanistan war was a greenlight and then most ppl wanted iraq too after being misled. that link hbb posted a day or 2 ago still shows like at least 1/3 of the country thinks saddam had a hand in 911
