Should really allow optional upgraded spell gfx
The live server's spell graphics are pretty beastly ... I mean, p99 has been out for quite a while now and spells that don't hurt your eyes (optionally, too! Like the texture patch!) is very encouraging.
When p99 was first popular, I released a spell gfx patch, that was similar to the optional texture patch, that utilized the spell gfx of the live server. Later this was disabled. I mean, why not make it look cool if we have the ability to optionally do so for those that want it? Instead of lightning being some fuzzy red pixels, it's actually conjuring a lightning bolt that strikes down and emits sparks from the ground as it hits dramatically. It's absolutely badass. It also adds some unique elements; all shields buffs dont look exactly the same, for instance. You can tell what they are casting by the spell gfx instead of something so generic you're sick of seeing it. Anyway, for those that want it should have the option to utilize it. Please once again make this possible. Thanks

Yea.. but.. oh the transparent UI? Yea brah but whatever you want and I don't want, it's not classic brah. Contradiction and hypocrisy? What is that brah?" Oh yea how come when kunark was released, you couldnt give your epic to a bat and have someone else loot it before the date it was patched? brah, [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Damn hypocrites.

I totally agree with the post. Spell graphics are pretty awesome on live at the moment. I'd use classic models with updated spells, because they are far far superior. Lightning is lightning, not just a pink blast.
They aren't shit like Luclin models IMO. Also ICE COMET is just an ice spell here >< | ||

There's also a glitch in the way current spell graphics work.
From 1 - 33 you have the same level 1 particle effects From 34 - 48 you have the intermediate particle effects from 49 + there are the third tier of particle effects: This has the third tier that doesn't exist on some spells here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80kN9wO3DsM | ||
