Cannibalize triggering pvp flagging
Basically as a Shaman if you cast Cannibalize while you have another player targeted, it adjusts your dynamic PvP range to match theirs, as if you had buffed/attacked them.

Not entirely sure if this actually flags you for their level or not, but it gives a message nonetheless

Had a level 14 targeted when I casted it, and it came with the message saying that I could now be attacked by levels 6 through 36. I was level 36 at the time.

Also, I've heard of other players complain about Gate and port spells doing this same thing. I have not experienced this.

you were level 36 and it said you could be attacked from 6 to 36? or 6 to 44?

I was 36 and it said 6 to 36. The messages that it gave me were never correct assuming I were to be adjusted for their level. It was always (their level - 8) through (my level).

I understand it adjusting it to their level but if it didn't adjust it from their level - 8 all the way up to your level + 8 then that is also an additional issue. Please double check logs.

I don't see any instance of this happening in my logs but I have encountered this several times before and always noticed that my new range ended with my level. Whether or not I could be attacked by people up to 8 levels above me remains unconfirmed, but the message ending in my level was thrown regardless.

I noticed this too yesterday. Cast Cann @ lvl 28 with someone else targeted. Said now in range 20-44.

This is still happening. Targeted level 20, casted cannibalize, I was level 46, "You can now be attacked by players level 12 to 54."
