i am by no means a "hacker" and have never played one on TV. that said, i thought the main common belief shared by hax0rs was the freedom of information and resources?

I think hacker intent has more to do with reverse engineering code and pushing boundaries in order to learn and expand knowledge. Something akin to a mechanic messing with engines, but instead it's sweaty fat dudes analyzing TCP/IP traffic and tinkering with SQL injection and backdoors to gain access to code.

These idealogical hacker groups are nothing more than angry virgins banding together to do something they care about, regardless of how stupid others think they are/aren't.

Basically, bandwagoning for a cause in order to be heard.

Exactly, I use the site he's trying to DDoS and I can't work out his motivation, especially with the use of the "Anonymous" logo :/
