Default Pet class xp

I've been away for quite a while. Is there someone who can quickly remind me of the rule with pet classes soloing and pets stealing xp?

If pet does > 50% of damage, it takes 75% of the exp. Penalty goes away in a group.

I thought it was %50, and I'm also curious about whether group member has to be in zone or not.

Group members have to be in zone to nullify the penalty. Also, I believe while grouped you must do at least 1 damage to the mob or the pet will steal half XP (not totally sure about this though).

If you are solo and your pet does over half of the damage to a mob, it takes half of the EXP. Otherwise, you get full EXP. If you are grouped, the penalty does not apply as long as you have at least one groupmate in the same zone as you.

What he said. But, I think you have to be close to each if you want to share XP and avoid the pet penalty.

perm change

you kids missed the boat on the afk mage lvling in oot

since were stopping at sov, this change is here for the remainder of your stay

you also missed the group with anyone in zone and xp

when server first opened, first week or so, i was an assling in misty thicket, we would all group and run around kill stuff and get xp anywhere in zone, good times

also we had serverwide ooc

i dunno, pet classes are out, go make a hybrid i hear the xp nerf gets lifted then why would you wanna play a pet class

I don't believe it about charmed pets.
I regularly kill mob with charmed pet doing just 5 points of damage (shallow breath) and still get half a blue of xp.
