Rogue Weapon Question

If you were soloing as a Rogue 1-40s with a Fungi, and had Epic and a SCD... Would you mainhand the SCD or the epic?

Your point was the main thing that stumped me, ratio-wise epic is better but people always say put the faster weapon in main-hand. Tough call.

He is discussing soloing, so the faster weapon main hand is better since he isn't getting backstabs in.
Second is he talking about going from 1-40, so his weapon skills will be lower (fewer double attacks/duel wields) and he has the damage cap to contend with for half of his level range being discussed again the faster weapon wins out.

I'd mainhand epic, cause I'd probably be starting off most/all fights with a backstab, and I'm too lazy to keep switching weapons around just for that.

Note that faster weapon in mainhand doesn't mean much of anything until you get a sizeable damage bonus... which isn't until after level 40 anyways.

Some people have touched on this, but here's my opinion....

1-19 you will obtain same max dmg (20) hits with SCD, will be faster.

Your skills suck, so you'll miss. A faster weapon will help with this.

Your dmg cap raises to (31) or so from 20-29.

I'd probably switch to epic mainhand around level 30, or wait til 40 as someone else suggested, if you find that combo is more DPS.

Also, max out Instill Doubt and get JBoots. This allows Fear Kiting - Backstab City. :P
