Unknown Error

I currently can't connect to any of the servers... I get this error..

an unknown error has occurred while trying to join the server.

Any ideas to what might be wrong? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you haven't already check EqEmulator forums as this isn't an error specific to Project 99 server(s).

Are you running the game through the EMU program, or a shortcut EQgame.exe patchme?
If it's the latter, try running EMU again.

Also if you have a Netgear router, there's a section in the router browser called WAN Setup, and a check box in that menu "Disable Port Scan and DDOS Protection" (or similar). Untick these and apply it.
That may alleviate the issue and also is a solution to the case of having a blank server list for some people.
