As this is in development still, you get plenty time to rearrange your hairstyle to look like TechnoBob here inthe vid.......wanna make sure you look like a professional geek right?

anyone else fancy trying this OS yet? Not a fan of MS myself, but Win10 looks like a step in the right direction?

Everquest needs an Intel type processor, the ARMv6 processor in the Raspberry Pi won't run it, despite running Windows. Microsoft Surface RT had the same problem!

`the ARMv6 processor in the Raspberry Pi won't run it,`

believe the rasp pi v2 can run windows, as it has a differnt arm processor. At least it rund a form of windows 10, bt its still in development. Its unclear how far to port of win10>>pi will go. As the vid shows its early days so far. Surely MS can get to something like raspbian functionality? or are their coders just too thick to pull it off?

`Everquest needs an Intel type processor, `

Always thought that an OS was supposed to provide `layers` between the hardware and the software(applications) but clearly i dont know bugger all about programming. I dont understand why EQ needs a certain type of processor to work.....why doesnt the kernel smooth over this problem?

mine has ARMv7

Wasnt planning on media centre. Just a project board to tinker with.

but the guy i bought it from used it for 2 months as a media centre, and so it came loaded with OSMC media centre operating system, and a few video addons - 1channel, Genesis, phoenix, project free tv, and another one... seems pretty legit so i might keep it as a media centre for a bit. Just a few clicks and i streamed Road Wars in 1080p. very cool.

im still trying to figure things out, like is the OS running from the micro SD card? If so, how can i boot to a different OS from the same card? what are some other good OS or even apps for OSMC? Any suggestions?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_boot_loaders

type `grub boot loader` into youtube....

hve to admit i dont know alot aboutt he osmc.

You could attach an external hard drive via the usb, and stick other opsys on that. Maybe change it so that grub loader boots from the sd card and then you select the os you want that is on the external hdd.....which i assume you can get grub to see.

you can buy sdcards off ebay that have an os preloaded on hem and setup to work on rasppi......just swop cards to boot a differnt os.....keep it simple)
