I love Star Talk, hate the co-host usually. NdGT doesn't need some sort of Comic by his side. Any time he has a colleague on the podcast it's about 10000x more interesting. and Stephen Colbert.

The point isn't for people who are already nerds to learn, nerds learn in school.
The point is for idiots to be next to NdGT to ask him idiot questions that Harrison might ask, so that NdGT can do what he does best, and break down the secrets of the universe to idiots. | ||

At least the idiot comedians ask idiot questions in a funny way, which makes it accessible to nerds who can then make fun of the comedian for being an idiot to feel superior to SOMEONE in life omg (see your post).

Nerds would ask questions about some obscure phenomenon that even other nerds haven't heard of in order to prove their nerd alphaness in the hopes of attracting a nerd mate. This would quickly lead to a boring ass show full of minutia and errata that nobodoy fucking cares about. I wanna hear questions like "why do black holes exist?" and then hear NdGT actually break that down into a 2 minute speech. It's fucking amazing.
