Default Everquest 2 Implements Krono - In game Subscription

You may be familiar with EVE's Plex system or TERA's Chronoscrolls, add EQ2 to that list with Krono, an item that can add 30 days of Gold gametime to your account, fully tradeable and sellable on the EQ2 market.

http://www.everquest2.com/Krono

Basically, get a f2p character to a relatively high level, grind cash, buy Krono, and play what you want to play. Gold-restricted Characters are locked when Krono runs out, but if you level a basic character first, you can still play them when the sub is out.

There are plans to implement this in EQ1 and Vanguard, as well.
