Game Mechanics: Dot death while zoning --> No rez able?

so one of my guildies Spee just died while zoning with a dot from skyfire>burning woods, died upon zoning in, and i brought my cleric over, turns out that i couldn't Xp rez his corpse at all. What is up with this? Is this classic, or a known bug? please info!

edit: could this be because after zoning the dot is no longer attached to a particular mob, causing some sort of bug?

Have the guy camp and come back... Sometimes the player gets bugged and can't be rezzed. Happens when I try to rez some people too. But usually them camping and coming back fixes it.

You do not suffer experience loss in these cases.

i'm not sure because I wasn't on my cleric at the time of death (spent some time running over to where his corpse was)
