Default Most efficient way to melee/send in pet soloing

Do you send in the pet/root/dot until around like 60 percent then go in a melee and pull off pet? Not sure at lvl 34 how to do it.

Shaman? Druid charming? Twinked?

At 34 with an untwinked shaman I wasn't meleeing any more. Root/dot and send in pet at 30-70% depending on how much damage the mob was doing. I didn't want to have to heal the pet at all, so I sent him in when he wouldn't take more damage than he could regen before the next fight.

Download gamparse, its great for getting an idea of when you can send your pet in. But typically I pull with malisement, root, scourge, envenomed breath and send the pet in around 65%. at level 35 against a level 30 guard this results in me doing about 60-70% of the damage and pet taking the rest. Depending on resists it also means I'm very close to having enough mana to start again immediately.

Im pretty solid with a poison wind censor and full gear. So I shouldn't be meleeing alongside my pet at 34?
