Default Ranger Defensive Skills Will Not Raise Post 50

Just what the title says. My ranger toon who is now 53 has not had a single defensive skill raise all the way through 51 to 53. Defense, dodge, parry, and riposte are all stuck at their pre 50 caps.

Bump

There were two patches that affected ranger's melee skill caps:

------------------------------
September 19, 2000 7:00 am
------------------------------

Rangers:

Last week we completed in-depth testing of melee and defensive skills
for all melee-centric classes. In the course of these tests we
determined that the ranger class was not performing to its intended
level, and have made the following changes:

- The "Jolt" spell has had its casting time reduced.
- The Skillcap on Dodge and Parry has been increased.

------------------------------
October 8, 2001
------------------------------

- Rangers have their Double Attack skill cap raised to 245. They have
also gained an innate offensive bonus that starts at level 55 and
increases until level 60. Ranger's Defense skill cap has been raised to
220, and their Riposte skill cap has been raised to 185.

Note that the first patch also introduced epics so it should've been effective on p99 already. Like OP stated, right now ranger's dodge and parry and still stuck at their pre-50 caps, and it needs to be looked into. The second patch wasn't out until almost Luclin. Guess we'll have to wait a while for defense and riposte increase.

Ranger's skill caps before either patches:

Ranger's skill caps after BOTH patches:

P99 wiki is actually incorrect... but as of now, rangers should have dodge capped at 170, parry at 220, while defense stays at 200, and riposte stays at 150.

The wiki was incorrect about the archery, bind wound, and offense pre-50 caps as they are now in P99 and I corrected them (It had them at their level 60 caps). Bind wound was raisable at 51 to 155 from the 100 pre-51 cap and my guess is 5 more points per level there to 200 at 60.

So I guess we just need to get the true dodge and parry caps into the next patch.

EDIT: I have changed the wiki to reflect the current state of ranger defensive skills on P99. If it turns out that the offensive skills at 60th differ I will change those as well.

Rangers were forgotten here just like it did on live. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This site was never updated after the epic patch. However it did show rangers' dodge and parry skillcap before the boost, and what rangers here on P1999 have now. You can use the arrow on top of the page to navigate backwards. You'll see the site never got any updates

This site failed to update the second ranger boost outlined here. However it did show what rangers' correct dodge and parry is.

Websites detailing rangers' skill caps 12 years ago were scarce. If the devs need any more evidence I'm willing to spend more time on it.

Isn't the goal of Project 1999 to relive the Classic EQ experience? If Rangers were forgotten on Live, shouldn't that be replicated on P99?
