Default Just filmed a music video

Let me know what you guys think. It's for a christian hip-hop artist. I had to work in the rain. I used a Canon T2i to film. This is my first music video I shot and I got others lined up. Thanks!

Lack of variety of shots, way too much just from the front same perspective.

Not bad at all for a first video, good choice going with a Canon but you need to provide more variety of angles/perspectives/distance from subject to lens (basic filmography).

You had a variety of scenes but they got stale from the same perspective, just my 2 cents and good luck in the future [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You can PM me if you wanna discuss any further.

It is what I would expect from a "christian hip-hop artist" music video, I s'pose.

Since the artist isn't you (I assume, I hope) and the only part you had was the creation of the video, not much I can really say critically. It's made pretty well. Good job. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

That being said, this band, this music...really? Maybe it's just because I'm agnostic but... lol

Jesus != thuglife

But if that's what the Christians listen to these days who am I to complain?

Thanks for the input guys. Haha pretty harsh, Galilao. You must be a pro bro. But I agree with you on the angels. You have to understand it was raining in 80% of the video so it was harder for me to use my cameras in positions I wanted to without risk damaging them. I really wanted to re-shoot but since so many people were involved I didn't have much of a choice.

I've recently ordered a Canon T3i and a wide angle lens, as well as a glidecam system (which I will use with the T3i and wide angle lens....14mm lens....). This will give me some awesome shots. Their next video will be filmed at a local beach, in a few weeks.

Critical and negative aren't the same thing [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Traditionally you either want a distance change (Lens to subject) or an angle (perspective) change every 3-6 seconds.

It is unfortunate they wouldn't allow a re-shoot because they only one they are hurting is themselves ^^

Usually any video shoot will have many re-shoots if using a single cameraman to provide the variety needed. If you have no formal training/education though it isn't bad and pretty commendable you are out there learning on your own.
