Miscellaneous: Wurm Scale Coat

Does this item drop on this server? I've never seen it before. On live it was somewhat rare but it wasn't THAT rare. I really don't think this drops here. I know the mob that drops it must spawn, because one of the parts is involved in the bard/mage epic. Anyways, here is the info:

Same. I know in no one in my guild that has one, seen one, or heard of one dropping. Plenty of named wurms have been slain in the name of epics. I remember this being kind of rare on live, but not this rare.

I know nothing of how you guys work the voodoo you do, and if you say it is in game, I believe ya. It just seems more rare that it should be. Kind of like the way people questioned if Seblisian Beserker Cloak drop rate was messed up.

It's definitely too rare. I remember (not hard evidence I know) taking a group to BW and sitting at the loc where one of those guys spawns and getting 2 or 3 in a 6 hour session.

Well, there's evidence on the ZAM site:

Apr 02 2001 - 2 out of 4

In about 10 hours of camping the spot we received the mage burning embers 2 times, the cloak 2 times, and the bard guts almost every other time

Dec 28 2000 - 2 out of 5

We dropped him 5 times tonight - cloak twice, zip the other 3. No embers at all...

Dec 15 2000 - 2 out of 3

But out of killing it 3 times I have gotten nothign the first time, and a the Wurm Scale Coat the other 2 times.

So drop rate reported was 50%, 40%, and 66%. An average of 52% droprate. That's not really that rare.

i killed him about 6-8times the other day soloing and duoing. Seen embers about 3 times and guts just about every kill. Not a single cloak yet either.

From people in the guild that have all gotten their bard/mage pieces, not a single one has seen a cloak. Haven't heard of anyone in IB with one, but haven't really asked them that much.

Could a dev please respond? I'd really appreciate knowing if you felt that was enough evidence or not that the drop rate should be around 50%.

I would love to see this revisited. Still have not even heard of one dropping.
