Game Mechanics: pet miss rate bug

ok ive been killing seafury's for a few hours or so and it seems like the only dmg my pet is doing is nuking and the ds i throw on him. i attached the tail end of the fight and the only melee my pet hit with was when it was running away and rooted and it was the last swing

ive been sitting close enough to see melee swings its like my pet has a 90% miss rate please halp!

It kind of looks as though you don't have pet hits turned on. It will still show the last hit even when it is turned off.

If not, what level/type pet was it?
